The FOSSVPS website has been updated to show the total of 47 previously assigned VPSes (up from the September 12 count of 40) and the total of 5 VPSes currently available for assignment.
The FOSSVPS Request List has been updated to move Assigned VPSes to the bottom so that the list of Pending and Accepted Requests at the top of the page is easier to read. If you have a Pending or an Accepted Request, please double check that your Request appears on the List.
Thank you very much for providing free VPS resources to the community! ❤️ I would like to apply for a VPS with a dedicated IPv4 (location does not matter).
1.Open-source software I plan to run on the VPS:
Deploy an open-source personal blog/knowledge base system (such as Hugo + Caddy) to share Linux study notes and development experiences.
Set up an open-source networking tool demo environment, such as WireGuard or a small Docker-based lab, for learning and testing. 2.My contributions as a community member:
I have been actively engaged in learning and sharing open-source software. I often help newcomers in forums and communities, and I have written simple tutorials (such as Linux environment setup and VPS administration tips). I believe with this VPS, I can continue to create content and help more people.
Location preference:
No specific preference,
I need a dedicated IPv4.
I read your helpful post at https://www.nodeseek.com/post-316580-1#0. O learned from your post that, besides the big providers like Oracle who giuve away free VPSes, there also are many smaller free providers.
You said, "I often help newcomers in forums and communities, and I have written simple tutorials (such as Linux environment setup and VPS administration tips)." Could you please share a link or two to other forums and communities where you have helped newcomers? Additionally, could you please also share a link or two to your tutorials?
Thanks again for your Request! Always best wishes!

@shine
Now I am seeing your post!
Maybe someday you will want a VPS?
Best wishes!

Happy Monday!
Over the weekend I rebuild several VPSes and also negotiated a Fiscal Sponsorship Agreement.
The Fiscal Sponsorship Agreement allows FOSSVPS contributors to take advantage of section 501(c)(3) of the US tax laws when contributing to FOSSVPS.
People for whom 501(c)(3) is not relevant can of course continue to contribute directly, as @R3M1NE did.
FOSSVPS has passed its second month of life. You can read the Second Month Report here.
The Request List has been updated. The list should be easier to read. @bwz and @liweisi008 are next.
Thanks!
Tom
