There are a few specific ones like the various stack exchanges (math.stackexchange, stackoverflow, etc), but apparently they are rapidly losing new contributors.
Im not sure if you can consider reddit a forum, but sometimes i use that. a lot of communities are moving towards reddit and discord. i personally dont like that, but it is what's happening.
